How
Does Nanotechnology and Rain Eraser’s Products
Work?
The
nano particles organize themselves to form a coating
and bond with the surface after application. With
smooth, non-absorbent surfaces, nano particles
combine with the surface; liquids are repelled,
taking contaminants like dirt with them. With porous
surfaces, the nano particles fill up the pores from
the inside. Fungus, lichen, algae and moss can no
longer adhere to the surface and dirt and liquids
can no longer penetrate. A similar interaction
takes place on Leathers and upholstery. The nano
coating surrounds the fibers, preventing any liquids
or pollutants from getting through the sealant.
One day after applying Rain Eraser to smooth
surfaces, Leathers and upholstery (and two days for
porous surfaces), the coating d
of treated materials are not
affected whatsoever and are completely harmless to
skin.
After drying, Rain Eraser coatings are heat
resistant up to 450° C / 842° F, UV stable, and
frost resistant. (Please note that heat resistant
does not mean fireproof.) Surfaces become stronger
and more scratch resistant, diminishing the harm
average mechanical wear inflicts. Additionally,
elements can no longer do any damage. Sealed
surfaces, for example, can be washed with a
high-pressure cleaner (maximum 50/60 bar or 725/870
psi) and, depending on the surface, can also be
cleaned with a brush.
When applied and dried properly, nano coatings pose
no health risks and are completely harmless.
A
nano coating is only a few nanometers’ thick and
cannot be seen with the naked eye. It makes a very
strong chemical connection with the surface to which
it is applied and withstands considerable exposure
to external forces, ensuring long-lasting protection
for sealed items.
